COVID-19 Testing & Treatment in Magnolia & Vintage Park, TX

COVID-19 Testing & Treatment Magnolia & Vintage Park TX

Medella Urgent Care is committed to protecting the health of our community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. At our clinics in Magnolia and Vintage Park, Texas, we offer curbside COVID-19 genetic testing and rapid in-house COVID-19 antigen testing, both of which can detect an active COVID-19 infection. We also offer COVID-19 antibody testing, which can detect the presence of antibodies that could indicate a past or current COVID-19 infection, regardless of whether symptoms were apparent during the infection.

Our COVID-19 Tests

If you have COVID-19 symptoms—fever, persistent coughing, and shortness of breath—or if you recently had close contact with someone who was infected with the novel coronavirus, we recommend that you self-isolate.

  • COVID-19 genetic testing – You will remain safely in your vehicle while we perform a nasopharyngeal swab to collect a sample of secretions from your nose and the back of your throat. We will then send your sample to an off-site lab, where it will be evaluated for COVID-19. Your test results will be available within a few days.
  • COVID-19 antigen testing – After we perform a nasopharyngeal swab, we will immediately process your sample on site using Quidel Corporation’s Sofia 2 SARS Antigen FIA. Your test results will be available within minutes.
  • COVID-19 antibody testing – After we draw a sample of your blood, we will test it on site for the presence of COVID-19 antibodies. Your test result will be available within approximately 15 minutes.

How Is COVID-19 Treated?

As of now, there is no cure for COVID-19. If you are diagnosed with an active COVID-19 infection, it will be important for you to stay home until you have fully recovered and are no longer contagious. In the meantime, you should rest, stay well-hydrated, and promptly contact us if you experience any changes in your symptoms. Severe COVID-19 symptoms such as difficulty breathing may require hospitalization.

For more information about COVID-19 testing and treatment, contact Medella Urgent Care or stop by our walk-in clinic in Magnolia or Vintage Park, TX. We are open every day with evening hours. We also offer mobile COVID-19 testing for businesses.
